Returns Policy
At Solar Future CA, we are committed to delivering high-quality solar energy systems and ensuring complete customer satisfaction. Due to the custom-engineered nature of our products and installations, our policy regarding returns, refunds, and cancellations is designed with clarity and fairness in mind. Please read this policy carefully.
1. General Policy
Given that solar panel systems are custom-designed and installed specifically for your property, general product returns are not applicable in the same way as retail goods. Once equipment is ordered and/or installation has begun, it cannot be returned for a simple refund.
2. Order Cancellation

You may cancel a signed agreement within 3 business days (the “Cooling-Off Period”) without penalty, in accordance with California consumer protection laws.

Cancellation after the Cooling-Off Period but before equipment has been ordered may incur a project planning and design fee of up to 10% of the total contract value.

Once equipment has been ordered from our suppliers, cancellation will result in forfeiture of any deposit, plus any costs incurred for non-returnable custom materials.
3. Defective or Damaged Equipment
All equipment is covered by manufacturer warranties. If any item arrives defective or is damaged before installation:

We will coordinate with the manufacturer to repair or replace the item at no extra cost.

This process will be handled prior to system activation.
4. Post-Installation Issues & Performance

After installation, if your system is not performing as specified in your contract, we will diagnose and repair it under our workmanship warranty.

Refunds are not provided for perceived underperformance unless an independent, mutually-agreed-upon third-party assessment confirms the system is not meeting the production guarantees outlined in your contract.
5. Deposit Refunds
Deposits are refundable only under the following conditions:

Cancellation during the 3-day Cooling-Off Period.

If Solar Future CA is unable to proceed due to permitting denial, structural unsuitability, or other reasons not caused by the client.
6. Change of Mind After Installation
Due to the permanent and custom nature of solar installations, we do not offer refunds or returns for a “change of mind” after the system is installed and commissioned.
7. How to Request a Cancellation or Report an Issue
To cancel service or report defective equipment:

Contact our office in writing via email at [refunds@example.com] or by certified mail to our business address.

Provide your full name, contract number, and property address.

Clearly state the reason for cancellation or describe the issue with the equipment.
We will respond within 5 business days to discuss next steps.
